Hanging out at Haley’s

Yesterday I got the chance to interview Carter and Nancy Haley of Haley’s Flooring & Interiors.

I really enjoyed visiting their huge showroom, since I’m so into interior design. The Haleys established their business in Huntsville, Alabama back in 1988 and have just exploded in growth–starting with flooring products and adding other product lines (cabinets, countertops, area rugs, home interiors, window coverings, safes, and grills) as time has progressed.

The Haleys are the nicest, most down-to-earth people, and they credit their business success to God’s blessings and following the Golden Rule with their customers, staff, and vendors.

Hope you all enjoy seeing some of the cool stuff that they have…I photographed some of my favorites!

I love these pillar candle holders! Would be perfect in my future new house.

Fun at the Funky Monkey

I needed a creative outlet.

My house is painted with taupe-colored walls, devoid of photos and quirky artwork, in efforts to sell the place. All of my scrapbook paper, as well as my sewing machine, is packed up and in storage. My fabric swatches are stored away.

I’m trying to keep my house as clean as possible in case potential buyers schedule a time to stop by.

So when I took Princess Buttercup to school last Friday, I stopped by Funky Monkey–a fun, quirky shop on Highway 72 in Madison, Alabama.

If I couldn’t decorate my house like I want, at least I could draw some creative juice from photographing the cool booths in Funky Monkey!

I talked with Linda Aufderhar, a retiree who now owns a booth in Funky Monkey called “Cottage Lane Creations.”

Hope you guys all enjoy perusing my pictures!

I am going to do this scrapbook paper wall the minute I move into our new house. This wall is in the entrance of the store.
